Based on a vintage german design, these lanterns were traditionally carried on St. Martin's Day and 'Old Hallowmas Eve' with a candle inside.
This paper lantern is made using flame-retardant paper and gives off a beautiful warm glow when hung with a low watt bulb inside. Lovely.
We think this character makes a charming celestial decoration year-round; from Halloween to Christmas and all the way into summer evenings!
