These hand painted drums are as versatile as they are handsome. Not only are they a talking point and pop of colour for your home, but they also make a wonderful side table, a stand for your most impressive house plant, or even seating with the addition of a round cushion. The lids can be prised off with a flat head screw driver and will loosen with use, then they also make handy storage !

Each one was painted by hand in rural Pakistan by renowned artisans who create 'truck art'.

Truck art is a highly decorative art form in South Asia, where trucks are elaborately customised by their owners. The detailed designs are personalised to contain elements that remind the drivers of home when they are out on the road for months at a time. Kaleidoscopic patterns feature elaborate florals, exotic animals and sometimes even depict historical scenes or poetic verses.

These stunning creations are made by recycling old steel oil drums. Please be aware that due to their re used nature, each has charming imperfections such as light scratches, decent dents, or paint drips... a.k.a heaps of recycled character!
